About ISRA

Founded in May 1990, ISRA is a Gambian registered non-governmental organization inspired by Islamic principles. Our work focuses on community development, education, and support for vulnerable populations.

The rationale for our establishment was based on the Quranic statement that "Verily Allah will not change the (good) condition of people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves..." (Quran 13:11).
